Ricky Paul made his Off-Broadway debut in 1997 with the critically acclaimed musical revue, Regalia and has worked steadily in the theater for the past twenty years, creating numerous roles for composer/writer and long-time collaborator, Michael Ogborn including: C’est La Guerre! At The Wilma Theatre (1991) and Philadelphia Gay Lesbian Theatre Festival (2005), Box Office of The Damned for 1812 Productions (1999), Pinocchio: A Real Boy (1988) for Philadelphia Theatre Caravan and sharing a a Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award in 1993 for the PBS music video “Soldiers in the Sky”, and most recently, Michael Ogborn’s Sophisticated Twinkees, (2008).
Other stage credits include: two productions with acclaimed gay songwriter and performer, Tom Wilson Weinberg, Ten Percent Revue (1992) and Get Used To It (1995) at Society Hill Playhouse, seven years of extensive children’s theatre with National Theatre For Children, and Stages of Imagination and numerous environmental dinner theatre productions, including Café Noir (1990) and Murder On The Ocean Queen (1991). He’s also worked with Artichoke Dance Co. on a daring genre mixing piece marrying modern dance with camp comedy called Ho Down Showdown. It appeared as part of the NY Fringe Festival in 2000.
Film credits include: Max L. Raab Productions’ Rittenhouse Square (2005) directed by Robert Downey, Sr. & extra work in Philadelphia (1993), directed by Jonathan Demme.
